Carbon.ai, a groundbreaking project born from a hackathon that aims to transform the way individuals understand and mitigate their carbon footprints, caught our judges eyes and earned the 1st position award at Nova Hacks 2.

Harnessing AI for Everyday Impact

Carbon.ai is a revolutionary AI-driven platform that not only tracks but also simplifies the process of understanding and reducing carbon emissions. Designed with the user in mind, Carbon.ai transforms complex data into actionable insights, making sustainability accessible and engaging for everyone.

Its comprehensive carbon tracking monitors emissions across various activities, from purchases and travel to waste management and energy use.

Carbon.ai was born out of the need to empower people to take meaningful steps toward reducing their carbon footprint.

Personalized Insights for Real Change

Each action a user takes on Carbon.ai generates a detailed emission card, breaking down its environmental impact and providing practical tips for improvement.

This feature is crucial in fostering a sense of agency; individuals can see the direct consequences of their choices and receive tailored recommendations to help them reduce emissions.

Building the Platform: Challenges and Triumphs

The development of Carbon.ai was not without its challenges. Ensuring data accuracy across various input types required meticulous refinement of algorithms. Creating a seamless user experience demanded multiple design iterations, demonstrating the project team’s commitment to user-centric design.
